Ilex m. Blue Boy sometimes called Meserve holly features inconspicuous white colored blooms over glossy faded evergreen foliage. It grows slowly to an average mature height of 6 – 8 ft and a spread of 3 – 6 ft. ‘Blue Boy’ blooms in late spring. It is an extra hardy shrub. Prune it in the winter to keep it tidy and fertilize with a general purpose fertilizer before new growth appears in the spring.
