Ilex m. Blue Girl also sometimes called Meserve holly produces a profusion of bright red berries in fall and winter. The male pollenizer Blue Boy is planted in the same container as the fruiting female. The x meserveae species are the hardiest of the Hollies with glossy blue green leaves and purple stems. They are evergreen.
