Juniper H. Prince of Wales the Prince of Wales Juniper is a popular evergreen groundcover featuring bright green foliage which turns purplish in winter.  It has a ground-hugging growth habit 1 foot high and spreads up to 10 feet.  It is quite adaptable to many landscape environments and is a hardy plant.

The ornamental features are emerald green foliage and leaves that turn plum purple in fall.  It is quite dense and multi-stemmed and lends a delicate texture to the landscape.  Prince of Wales Juniper is a low maintenance shrub that grows at a slow rate.  It does best in full sun to partial shade and is adaptable to both dry and moist growing conditions.  It is considered to be drought-tolerant.
