Kalanchoe T. Fantastic is commonly known as the Paddle Plant. It has red coloring on its “paddles” that are visually interesting and attractive. As a tropical succulent it can grow 1 to 2 feet tall. The unusual paddle like leaves are a way for the plant to retain water. This would be much needed in a desert garden or where drought tolerant plantings are grouped and watered very little.
The rounded silvery-green leaves of Kalanchoe T. Fantastic have a dramatic red blush from the leaf edges. The young leaves have cream-colored highlights but unlike other kalanchoes these highlights are not caused by cold temperatures. They are always visible on the plant. Fantastic is a vigorous and drought-tolerant plant that can grow up to 2 feet tall and wide. It adds sensational color to any garden.
