Moderate-growing deciduous tree to 40’ tall and 15-30′ wide. This visually splendid species eventually forms a broad canopy of pinnately compound medium-green leaflets accented with abundant panicles of tiny fragrant yellow flowers appearing in late-summer followed by showy papery rosy-pink seed capsules that persist into fall. The leaves of this species hold late into the season briefly turning yellow before dropping in fall. Well-suited as a shade or patio tree and the non-invasive roots of this species also make it a popular choice for planting as a street tree. Tolerates a wide range of soil pH conditions and a variety of different soil types provided they’re fast-draining. Thrives with regular watering in a full sun exposure.
