Plant Type

Tree

Fast-growing large shrub or small tree with a rounded growth habit to 6-10 ft tall by 8-12 ft wide. This unique variety is a repeat-bloomer, featuring mildew-resistant foliage that emerges with a deep-wine-colored tint, to eventually mature to a lustrous deep-green. This attractive foliage is smaller than is typical with most indica species, and makes a wonderful background to the abundant clusters of crimson-colored buds that open to showy, soft-pink flowers summer into fall. Well-suited as a front yard, courtyard, or planter specimen. Requires a well-drained soil and little water once fully established. Thrives in a full sun exposure.

USDA Zone: 7-10
