Moderate-growing evergreen perennial to 12-18” tall and wide. Lavandula is revered for its delightfully fragrant and useful foliage as well as its abundant showy flower display. This durable highly popular variety forms a compact mound of aromatic gray-green foliage contrasted with abundant fragrant lavender-blue flower spikes that rise above the foliage late-spring through summer attracting butterflies and bees. Considered one of the hardiest of the English Lavenders this variety tolerates heat and requires little water once established but can tolerate moist soils better than most. The versatile fragrant foliage of this species is used for perfumes oils potpourris and various medicinal purposes while the flowers are great for drying and retain their color nicely. Great in rock gardens beds borders or containers and prefers a well-drained soil in a full to partial sun exposure.
