Plant Type

Shrub

Fast-growing semi-evergreen shrub to 6-8′ tall x 6’ wide. This low-maintenance heat-tolerant variety forms a rounded-mound of silver-tinged medium-green foliage contrasted with a profusion of showy lavender-purple flowers that attract butterflies and appear summer into fall or nearly year-round in mild climates. A popular choice for low desert climates and is well-suited as an informal hedge median planting or as a background to lower-growing shrubs annuals and perennials. A light pruning in early-spring will help achieve a more compact dense-growing specimen. Requires a well-drained soil and is considered drought tolerant once established. Prefers a full sun exposure.
