Moderately fast-growing evergreen tree with an upright to rounded growth-habit to 30-40’ tall x 25-35’ wide. Revered for its especially large flowers this handsome variety features glossy deep-green leaves with fuzzy rusty-brown undersides and is highlighted with fragrant eye-catching 10-14” wide creamy-white flowers appearing in summer. Flowers are followed by woody brownish-red seed pods that appear late-summer to fall. This medium-sized tree is well suited as a lawn park or open area specimen and prefers regular watering a well-drained soil and a full sun exposure.
