Malus Hopa is a slightly weeping and spreading deciduous tree with oval shaped dark green leaves that grow about 3 inches long.  Malus Hopa produces dark red to purplish buds that open up to pink blooms with a white star in the center.  The fruit (crabapples) is bright red to crimson. This tree does well in most soils but will be more attractive if given soil nutrients.
