Malus Robinson sometimes known as the Robinson Flowering Crabtree produces green foliage in summer with flowers that are followed by ornamental bright red fruits that persist into winter.  The fruits are often used for jellies.

Malus Robinson is densely covered in clusters of fragrant pink flowers growing along the branches in mid spring.  They emerge from red flower buds before the leaves are produced.  Malus Robinson has attractive light green foliage with red veins.  The oval leaves are ornamentally interesting and they turn an outstanding orange color in fall. The fruits can be messy if allowed to drop on lawns or sidewalks. Malus Robinson has rough brown bark.  Malus Robinson requires occasional maintenance and is usually pruned in late winter.
