Fast-growing evergreen tree to 20-30’ tall x 20-25’ wide. This Australian native eventually forms an umbrella-like canopy of dark-green, needle-like leaves accented with an abundance of small, lightly-fragrant, bottle-brush-like white flowers that cloak the attractive foliage in summer. Adding further appeal to this stately species is its spongy, peeling white bark that makes it a popular subject for landscape lighting. Well suited as a large courtyard, street or lawn tree. Juvenile trees are somewhat willowy and may require staking during their initial first and second growing seasons. Tolerates urban conditions and a variety of soil types, provided they’re well-drained, and requires little water once established. Thrives in a full to partial sun exposure.
