Fast-growing evergreen groundcover to 6-8” tall x 8-10’ wide. This dense-growing groundcover forms a low-spreading mat of emerald-green foliage with stems that root as they come in contact with moist soil. Abundant small pink flowers appear on the branch tips in spring with intermittent blooming throughout the year. This species grows in a variety of climates from direct coastal exposure where it is admired for its tolerance of sea-spray to warm inland locations where it can handle a good degree of heat. Requires little water once established and can tolerate periods of drought though a more robust- looking planting is achieved with a light regular watering in a well-drained soil as this species does not tolerate wet or boggy soils. Prefers a full sun to light shade exposure.
