Categories: ,

Very-fast-growing evergreen shrub, typically used as a groundcover, growing to 2-3’ tall by as much as 15-30’ wide. This fire-resistant variety is admired for its quick-spreading nature, capable of covering a 100 sq. ft. area in one year. Lance-shaped, medium-green foliage forms a dense, weed-smothering mat that makes an ideal groundcover for rapidly covering large hillsides or open areas. Adding further appeal are the small white flowers that appear in abundance in summer. Takes well to pruning, tolerates a variety of soil types (provided they’re well-drained) and requires little water once fully established. Thrives in a full sun exposure, though some protection from hot afternoon sun in warmer inland climates is advised. This variety is susceptible to Myoporum thrip.

USDA Zone: 9-11
