Pachysandra terminalis sometimes known as Japanese pachysandra or Japanese spurge is a species of flowering plant in the boxwood family of plants.  It is a slow-growing spreading evergreen perennial.  It grows to about 4 inches tall by 24 inches wide.  It produces simple glossy leaves and creeping stems. When it is grown in a mass of many plants it forms a dense green carpet.  The flowers are white and they grow above the foliage.
