Fast-growing, deciduous, clumping ornamental grass to 3’ tall x 2-3’ wide. This popular variety is revered for its attractive foliage color forming an upright-growing clump of narrow green leaves that emerge with red tips, progressively deepening in color throughout summer, to eventually turn deep burgundy in the cool of fall. Adding further appeal to this variety are the feathery pink-tinged flower plumes that appear in summer. Well-suited as an accent, background or container specimen, or for planting in mass as a colorful, low-maintenance drift. Tolerates a wide variety of soil types (provided they’re well-drained) and requires little water once established. Thrives in a full to partial sun exposure.

USDA Zone: 5A-9B
