Category:

Fast-growing herbaceous perennial to 2’ tall and wide. Admired for its compact form, low water needs and free-blooming nature, this attractive variety forms a soft mound of dark-green foliage that makes a great contrast to the profusion of yellow-tinged buds that open to showy, violet-tinged, deep-blue flowers appearing spring through summer. Attracts butterflies, birds and hummingbirds. Well-suited in cottage gardens, rock gardens, beds and borders or low-water perennial gardens, as well as making a good container specimen. Requires little water once fully established. Thrives in a sun to partial shade exposure.
