Plant Type

Perennial

Moderate-growing evergreen perennial to 5-7’ tall, clumping to 4-6’ wide. This popular upright-growing variety forms a broad clump of 1½-2” wide sword-like bronzy-green leaves with attractive rosy-pink streaks and margins. Well-suited in beds, mixed shrub borders, pond or pool areas, as a mass-planting for larger areas, or for using as a color and texture contrast to brightly colored flowers or broadleaf shrubs. Also makes a fine container specimen. Prefers a full to partial sun exposure in a well-drained soil, and while capable of surviving with little water once established, a more robust specimen is achieved with light regular watering. Tolerates coastal conditions.

USDA Zone: 7A-11
