Moderate-growing deciduous shrub to 4’ tall and wide. This versatile cold-hardy variety forms a rounded-mound of finely divided soft-green foliage cloaked in a profusion of dainty buttercup-shaped golden-yellow flowers appearing summer to fall attracting butterflies. Tolerates moist or dry conditions and a variety of soil types provided they are well-drained. Well suited as an accent informal hedge border or mass planting. Prefers a full to partial sun exposure.

Potentilla Gold Drop is a compact popular deciduous shrub that displays showy yellow flowers from late spring through fall.  It has fine-textured bright green foliage.  Potentilla Gold Drop has gold flowers at the ends of its branches produced among small fern-like leaves.  Potentilla Gold Drop is dense and multi-stemmed growing in a rounded form. Potentilla Gold Drop is a relatively low maintenance shrub.  It will grow to be about 2 feet tall with a spread of 3 feet.  Potentilla Gold Drop tends to fill out right to the ground but at a slow rate.

Gold Drop does best in full sun to partial shade. It is very adaptable to both dry and moist locations and should do well in most garden conditions. It is considered to be drought-tolerant and thus makes an ideal choice for a low-water garden.
