Moderate-growing deciduous tree to 20-30’ tall and wide. This picturesque variety features gracefully-weeping branches clad with glossy, lance-shaped leaves that emerge with a bronzy-tinge, maturing to a rich deep-green, to eventually turn vivid shades of yellow before dropping in the fall. Prized for its profuse, spectacular display of lightly-fragrant, light-pink flowers that appear in spring before the emergence of its attractive bronzy new foliage. Well-suited as a single accent or group planting in larger areas, and is a very popular choice for Asian-themed gardens. Requires a well-drained soil with regular watering, and prefers a full sun exposure for best growth and flowering performance.
