Moderate-growing deciduous tree to 20’ tall x 25’ wide. This popular variety is upright-growing in youth, eventually forming an umbrella-shaped crown of horizontal branching clad in ovate, deep-green foliage. Prized for its magnificent flower display with pink buds opening to fragrant bright-white flowers that appear in spring, before or during the emergence of its attractive, bronzy-tinged new foliage. Adding further appeal to this graceful variety is its attractive gray bark and warm reddish-orange and yellow foliage colors that appear in the cool of fall. Well-suited in Asian-themed gardens, cottage gardens or as a showy street, shade or lawn tree. Especially impressive when planted in mass. Requires regular watering in a well-drained soil, and thrives in a full sun exposure. Deer resistant.
