Category:

Moderate-growing semi-evergreen to deciduous shrub or small tree to 10-12′ tall and wide. This heat-loving variety features upright arching lightly-spined branches of glossy bright-green foliage accented with large fiery orange-red flowers that appear late-spring to summer. Following its showy flower display appear the large purplish-red vitamin and antioxidant rich fruit that are popular for fresh eating or juicing. Best flower and fruit production occurs in warm climates. While this variety can tolerate some drought a more robust fruitful specimen will be achieved with regular watering. Tolerates a variety of soil types provided they are well-drained. Well-suited as an accent focal point or large container specimen. Full sun.
