Fast-growing deciduous tree with a pyramidal to slightly-rounded growth-habit, to 30-40’ tall x 20-25’ wide with age. This popular variety features glossy, wavy-edged dark-green foliage that turns attractive shades of orangish-gold to reddish-purple in the cool of fall. Prized for its abundant display of showy, clustered white flowers that appear in early-spring, prior to the emergence of its attractive deep-colored foliage. Flowers are followed by tiny green inedible fruit that mature to brown in late-summer to fall. Tolerates urban conditions and a variety of soil types, and is well-suited as a lawn, parkway, street or shade tree. Though able to survive dry periods, this variety performs best with regular watering in a well-drained soil, and prefers a full sun exposure.
