Moderate-growing deciduous tree with a pyramidal growth habit to 35’ tall x 25’ wide. This fire blight resistant variety features glossy, wavy-edged deep-green foliage that emerges with an attractive red-tinge, and transitions through shades of orangish-yellow to reddish-purple in the cool of fall. Prized for its abundant display of especially large white flowers that appear in early-spring, prior to the emergence of its attractive deep-colored foliage. Flowers are followed by small clusters of reddish-brown ornamental fruit that persist on the tree for many months, and provide a valuable food source for various bird species. Highly-tolerant of urban conditions and a variety of soil types, and is well-suited as a lawn, parkway, street or shade tree. Though able to survive dry periods, this variety performs best with regular watering in a well-drained soil, and prefers a full sun exposure.
