Cleveland Select Flowering Pear

Pyrus Cleveland Select is considered to be an improvement of the Bradford pear. ‘Cleveland Select’ has a shapely tight pyramidal habit when young.  It develops a distinctive columnar form as it matures.  It is considered to be an excellent choice for street tree planting.  It produces gleaming white blooms in spring with fall coloring being a purplish red-orange.  Pyrus Cleveland Selectis deciduous.

Pyrus Cleveland Select grows up tall more than it grows out.  It therefore works well in narrow spots such as in street tree planting. The white flowers and fall colors make it a nice specimen tree. The Cleveland Pear is a versatile addition to almost any landscape.  Its low maintenance hardy nature and beautiful year-round appeal make it an ideal choice as an ornamental landscape tree.
