Moderate-growing evergreen shrub with a rounded growth-habit to 2-3’ tall x 3-4’ wide. Indian Hawthorn has long been a popular landscape favorite revered for its durability and dependable flower display. This compact-growing variety features bronzy-red-tinged new foliage maturing to a glossy rich dark-green and is accented with abundant clusters of lightly-fragrant dark-pink flowers appearing late-spring into early-summer. Well-suited in mixed borders as an accent mass planting low-growing hedge or foundation planting and does well in containers. This species is drought tolerant but looks best with a light regular watering schedule. Prefers a well-drained soil in a full to partial sun exposure. Best flowering and growth-habit will occur in a full sun exposure.Rhaphiolepis indica Pinkie is a fast-growing evergreen shrub with a mounding growth habit.  Pinkie produces leathery leaves and profuse fragrant rose-pink flowers.   Pinkie sounds like a small shrub but it grows 4 to 6 feet tall and usually as wide.  Pinkie is usually left in its natural form and not hedged or sheared. It’s an excellent plant for gardens in warmer climates. Pinkie should have moist but well-drained fertile soil.  Rhaphiolepis indica Pinkie does well in full or partial sun.
