Category:

Moderate-growing evergreen fern to 3’ tall, spreading via underground roots to 4-5’ wide. Prized for its lacy-looking tropical foliage, this attractive and highly-popular species forms an arching mound of triangular-shaped fronds clad with finely-cut, glossy, deep-green foliage that’s perfect for lending a tropical touch to shadier parts of the landscape. Well-suited as an accent, border or container specimen, and highly popular for its use as a foliage filler in floral arrangements. Despite its delicate appearance, this fern is reasonably tough, low-maintenance and hardy to 24° F. Thrives with regular watering in a rich, well-drained soil, though fully-established plantings can survive with less frequent watering. Prefers a shade to filtered sun exposure. Periodically top-mulch for best growing results. Tolerates coastal conditions.
