Fast-growing evergreen perennial with an upright growth-habit to 2-4’ tall x 2-3’ wide. This popular heat-tolerant variety is prized for its long-blooming flower display and water-thrifty nature. Narrow, glossy bright green foliage on dark-colored stems is accented with a profusion of showy, bright magenta-red flowers that appear at the branch tips throughout summer and well into fall. A favorite for hummingbirds and bees. Well suited in mixed beds, borders, wildflower or native gardens, or as a colorful slope or hillside planting. Also makes a great container specimen. Performs best in fast-draining soil in a full to partial sun exposure and while this variety requires little water once established, a more lush-looking specimen is achieved with light regular watering.
