Moderate-growing deciduous succulent with an upright, clumping growth-habit to 18-24” tall and wide. This extremely tough, hardy and floriferous variety features attractive, fleshy, gray-green foliage accented with a profusion of showy, butterfly-attracting, broccoli-like flowers that emerge rosy-pink, mature to an attractive bronzy-pinkish-red, and rise above the attractive foliage late-summer to fall. Flowers will persist into winter producing showy seed heads that attract various species of birds. The stems of this species eventually die to the ground in winter, but quickly re-emerge in spring. Well-suited as an accent, rock garden or mixed border planting. Requires a well-drained soil and little water once established, though a more robust-looking specimen is achieved with moderate watering in a partial to full sun exposure.
