Moderate-growing, semi-deciduous tree with a rounded growth habit to 25-35’ tall and wide. This beautiful and popular variety features palmately-divided leaves, olive-green on their upper surface, with undersides exhibiting a tawny fuzz. Prior to the emergence of its attractive foliage appear masses of showy, trumpet-shaped, golden-yellow flowers that create a dazzling display in early-spring. Flowers are followed by long, fuzzy seed pods that can persist for many months. While this species has moderate water needs through the warmer parts of the season, over-watering should be avoided as it could potentially lead to a weak flowering specimen. Great choice as a smaller-sized street or patio tree. Prefers a fast-draining soil and thrives in a full sun exposure.
