Moderate to fast-growing, sprawling evergreen vine most typically used as a groundcover to 1-2’ tall, with stems spreading to 10-12’ long. These stems root along the way as they come in contact with moist soil. This vigorous species features dense-growing, glossy-dark-green foliage accented with sweetly-fragrant, star-shaped, creamy-yellow flowers appearing intermittently from late-spring through summer. Well-suited as a groundcover for banks and hillsides, or with support can be used for covering fences, arbors or trellises. Great for planting near windows or patios where it’s sweet fragrance can be enjoyed.
Requires regular watering in a sun to partial shade exposure, but needs some protection from hot afternoon sun in warmer inland climates.
