Moderate-growing evergreen shrub or small tree with an open growth-habit to 15-20’ tall x 12-15’ wide. This southwestern native features 4” long lance-shaped medium-green leaves and exhibits a growth habit similar to that of oleander. Small white flower clusters appear on the branch tips in spring followed by woody seed capsules that persist into winter. Well-suited as a hedge screen or barrier and can be grown as a single or multi-stemmed tree. Considered to be very heat and drought tolerant but looks best if given supplemental watering during hot summer months. Full sun to partial shade.
