Fast-growing evergreen shrub with a dense growth habit to 10-15′ tall x 8-15’ wide and this species can also be pruned into a small tree. Handsome glossy dark-green foliage is accented with fragrant clusters of creamy-white flowers that appear in spring followed by eye-catching shiny red berries in fall. Great as a foundation planting a background to lower growing shrubs or as a large privacy screen. Prefers a moderate watering schedule and a full to partial sun exposure but requires some shaded protection in hotter inland climates.
