Slow-growing evergreen palm to 15-20’ tall and wide. This attractive species forms a stout solitary trunk topped with gracefully arching gray-green fronds that bend back towards the trunk creating a rounded appearance. Older fronds will persist on the trunk until trimmed. In warmer climates showy 3-4’ long stems of clustered pink-tinged creamy-yellow flowers appear in summer followed by sweet edible orange-yellow colored fruit. This stately relatively small-growing species is well-suited as a focal point in a variety of growing environments. Tolerates coastal conditions or inland heat and is cold hardy to 15°F. Prefers regular watering in a partial to full sun exposure.
