Myoporum parvifolium ‘Putah Creek’ is an evergreen groundcover that grows about 1 foot high and spreads as wide as 8 feet.  Sometimes called Creeping Myoporum it is fast growing with small bright green leaves that grow close to the stem.   ‘Putah Creek’ bears small white flowers in the summer.  It is planted in full sun but can tolerate light shade.  Irrigation requirements are regular to occasional.   ‘Putah Creek’ is considered a hybrid.  The leaves are slightly larger than a typical myoporum parvifolium and it grows slightly taller.

Myoporum parvifolium ‘Putah Creek’ is drought tolerant once it is established.  It looks strong but cannot take foot traffic.  Myoporum parvifolium is a great shrub for erosion control and will often be seen in seaside plantings.
