Moderate-growing deciduous shrub to 3-6’ tall spreading via underground stems to 4-5’ wide. This low-maintenance species features small rounded to oblong medium green leaves accented with tiny bell-shaped pink flowers appearing on the branch tips in spring followed by clusters of showy gleaming-white berries that persist into fall and winter. Flowers attract hummingbirds. Though this species will tolerate some shade best fruit production occurs in full sun exposures. Great as a border screen or hedge and is well-suited for controlling soil erosion on banks or hillsides. Prefers regular watering in a fast-draining soil. Full to partial sun.
